100 million euros invested by Samsung in Romanian PV sectorSamsung became the most important investor in a photovoltaic park in Romania, after developing a solar farm in the Giurgiu County with a capacity of 45 MW.

The total costs of the construction got to 100 million euros. The Asian giant in the electronic industry comprising a 250 billion dollars business revealed its intention to invest in the Romanian energy sector since the end of 2012, when a Korean ambassador said Samsung plans to build several solar parks in Romania.

The total amount needed for completing the investment is almost 9 million euros.

At the end of 2012 the price of a solar module was € 0.54, and this value maintained as a minimum also for the past summer.

IKEA to sell solar panels in its UK storesIKEA is planning to start selling PV panels in its stores.

The decision was taken following a pilot-project developed in one of IKEA stores in London, where every day a new photovoltaic system was sold.

Furthermore, during the following ten months all their stores in UK will have Hanergy PV panels available for selling, 5.700£ for 18 panels.
