BERD finanțează cu 40,1 milioane de euro dezvoltarea energiei solare în Bosnia și Herțegovina
Banca Europeană pentru Reconstrucție și Dezvoltare (BERD) a anunțat acordarea unui împrumut de 25,1 milioane de euro companiei Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine (EPBiH), cel mai mare furnizor public de energie electrică din Bosnia și Herțegovina. Finanțarea este destinată dezvoltării și construcției unei centrale solare de 50 MWp pe un fost depozit de cenușă de cărbune.
BERD a mobilizat fonduri suplimentare pentru acest proiect, UniCredit Bank d.d. oferind un împrumut paralel de 15 milioane de euro. Sumele vor fi utilizate pentru dezvoltarea, construcția și operarea a două centrale solare adiacente, cu o capacitate combinată de 50 MWp, în municipiul Gračanica.
Proiectul face parte dintr-o colaborare mai amplă între BERD și EPBiH pentru a facilita tranziția justă a companiei către energia regenerabilă. În cadrul acestei inițiative, BERD sprijină și un program de cooperare tehnică pentru evaluarea scenariilor de decarbonizare până în 2050 și impactul acestora asupra operațiunilor EPBiH.
De asemenea, BERD va susține EPBiH în colaborarea cu autoritățile pentru introducerea unor noi standarde educaționale în domeniul energiei regenerabile, concentrându-se pe o tranziție justă în contextul provocărilor de management al forței de muncă asociate decarbonizării.
Suport tehnic și consultanță sunt oferite de Austria prin Fondul Municipal de Infrastructură Austrian și Parteneriatul Austrian de Înalt Impact pentru Acțiuni Climatice. Fonduri suplimentare pentru asistență tehnică sunt furnizate de Fondul Special al Acționarilor BERD.
Aceste proiecte sunt cruciale pentru decarbonizarea Bosniei și Herțegovinei, țara vizând o pondere a energiei regenerabile de 43,6% până în 2030.
Până în prezent, BERD a investit peste 3,2 miliarde de euro în 233 de proiecte în Bosnia și Herțegovina, concentrându-se pe promovarea economiei verzi, sprijinirea dezvoltării sectorului privat și încurajarea integrării regionale.
