Programul THIVE facilitează tranziția flotelor din Texas către vehicule pe bază de hidrogen
Noul program de granturi Texas Hydrogen Infrastructure, Vehicle and Equipment (THIVE) permite flotelor din Texas să facă tranziția către vehicule pe bază de hidrogen. Prin intermediul Planului de Reducere a Emisiilor din Texas al Comisiei pentru Calitatea Mediului din Texas (TCEQ), aproximativ 16 milioane de dolari au fost disponibili pentru flotele din regiunile cu poluare ridicată și neconforme.
Nate Hickman, Specialist Tehnic în cadrul Diviziei de Granturi pentru Aer a TCEQ, a declarat: „Cererea pentru granturile THIVE a depășit alocarea de 16 milioane de dolari pentru acest program. Conform criteriilor statutare de prioritizare, TCEQ a acordat granturi THIVE pentru a înlocui vehiculele grele vechi cu vehicule noi pe bază de hidrogen, pentru a converti vehiculele grele în vehicule pe bază de hidrogen și pentru a achiziționa vehicule grele noi pe bază de hidrogen. Așteptăm cu nerăbdare viitorul acestui grant și impactul său asupra calității aerului în stat.”
Dmitry Serov, Fondator și CEO al Hyroad Energy/Simoneta Ltd., a afirmat: „Suntem încântați să fim selectați pentru finanțare în cadrul programului THIVE 2024. Programul ne extinde eforturile de a ajuta clienții Hyroad să își atingă obiectivele de sustenabilitate prin oferirea de camioane pe bază de hidrogen ca serviciu. Suntem entuziasmați să contribuim la un viitor mai sustenabil pentru transportul din Texas.”
Potrivit CEO-ului Hyzon, Parker Meeks, economia hidrogenului se bazează pe sprijinul guvernului pentru a facilita și accelera adoptarea soluțiilor pe bază de hidrogen, cum ar fi sistemele de celule de combustie Hyzon. „Programul THIVE stimulează implementările critice pe termen scurt, permițându-ne să continuăm colectarea de date operaționale în timp ce demonstrăm că transportul greu pe bază de hidrogen cu zero emisii este pregătit pentru astăzi,” a spus Meeks.
Lucrând în numele Alianței pentru Hidrogen din Texas, Craig Chick, CPC Capitol Partners, a subliniat: „Lansarea de succes a programului THIVE nu ar fi fost posibilă fără sprijinul larg al legislaturii din Texas pentru dezvoltarea economiei hidrogenului în Texas.”
Susan M. Shifflett, Director Executiv al Alianței pentru Hidrogen din Texas (THA), a concluzionat: „Cu mai mult de 1100 de mile de conducte de hidrogen, trei din șase cavități de stocare, o abundență de gaze naturale ieftine și energie regenerabilă, Texasul este pregătit să fie un lider în economia globală a hidrogenului. Aplaudăm acești adoptatori timpurii și legislatura din Texas pentru recunoașterea importanței hidrogenului pentru statul Texas.”
