Bekaert și Rezolv Energy semnează un acord de achiziție de energie eoliană de 100 GWh în România, unul dintre cele mai mari din regiune
Rezolv Energy, producător de energie independent sprijinit de Actis în Europa Centrală și de Sud-Est, prin subsidiara sa de proiect First Looks Solutions S.R.L., a semnat un acord de achiziție virtuală de energie (VPPA) pe 10 ani în România cu Bekaert, lider global în transformarea sârmei de oțel și în tehnologii de acoperire a suprafețelor. Acesta este unul dintre cele mai mari acorduri de achiziție de energie (PPA) semnate vreodată în regiune. Acordul prevede ca Bekaert să achiziționeze 100 GWh de energie regenerabilă suplimentară pe an, reducând emisiile cu peste 41.000 de tone de CO2 pe an. Energia va proveni de la parcul eolianul VIFOR, cu capacitate de 461 MW, dezvoltat de Rezolv și Low Carbon în județul Buzău, România.
Acordul de achiziție de energie (PPA) reprezintă onouăbornă în strategia de sustenabilitate a Bekaert „Creăm un viitor mai bun”. De la producerea unui impact pozitiv cu ajutorul soluțiilor și practicilor sale sustenabile și până la construirea unui viitor divers și incluziv, Bekaert și-a propus să contribuie la o viață mai bună și să creezeplusvaloare pentru toți partenerii săi. Prin proiectele de energie regenerabilă precum acest VPPA din România, Bekaert crește proporția de energie regenerabilă cu care se aprovizionează, reducându-și amprenta de carbon conform obiectivelor SBTi asumate.
