DSB semnează un acord cu European Energy pentru construirea unui parc solar în estul Danemarcei
Compania de Căi Ferate a Statului Danez (DSB) a semnat un acord cu European Energy pentru construirea unui nou parc solar în estul Danemarcei, care va crește producția de energie regenerabilă în țară.
Parcul solar va fi amplasat în Rødby Harbour, în municipiul Lolland, iar lucrările de construcție vor începe după vacanța de vară. Odată finalizat, parcul solar este așteptat să aibă o producție anuală de 262 GWh, echivalentul consumului de energie electrică pentru aproape 65.000 de gospodării.
Conform acordului, DSB va achiziționa 80 GWh anual, începând cu finalizarea parcului solar în 2025. Această cantitate reprezintă aproximativ 50% din consumul actual de energie electrică al DSB pentru rețeaua de transport ușor din Copenhaga.
Aske Wieth-Knudsen, șeful departamentului de sustenabilitate al DSB, a declarat: „Suntem foarte încântați de noul acord între DSB și European Energy. Ne dorim să accelerăm tranziția verde în Danemarca, având ca obiectiv reducerea impactului climatic al operațiunilor noastre cu 98% până în 2030, comparativ cu 2019. Prin acest acord, contribuim la o tranziție mai rapidă către electricitatea verde în Danemarca, consolidând astfel poziția trenurilor ca unul dintre cele mai prietenoase moduri de transport din punct de vedere climatic.”
Noul parc solar, cu o suprafață totală de 253 de hectare, va fi unul dintre cele mai mari din Danemarca și a fost denumit Lidsø Solar Park. Zona este închiriată de la trei proprietari de terenuri pentru o perioadă de 30 de ani.
