Parcul eolian VIFOR va furniza 100 GWh de energie curată anual către Deutsche Telekom pe o perioadă de 12 ani
Acest proiect este facilitat de un acord virtual de achiziție de energie electrică (VPPA) între T-Mobile Cehia, Telekom Slovacia, CE Colo Cehia și Rezolv Energy. Acestea sunt primele VPPA-uri transfrontaliere semnate de companii cehe sau slovace, deschizând drumul pentru construcția unui parc eolian major în județul Buzău, România.
VPPA-urile vor permite construirea primei faze a proiectului, cu o capacitate de 192 MW, urmând ca faza a doua să adauge încă 700 GWh pe an, destinate cumpărătorilor corporativi. T-Mobile Cehia a securizat 50 GWh pe an, Telekom Slovacia 40 GWh pe an, iar CE Colo Cehia 10 GWh pe an.

Odată operațional, parcul VIFOR, cu o capacitate totală de 461 MW, va fi unul dintre cele mai mari parcuri eoliene onshore din Europa. Localizat în apropierea Munților Carpați, acesta va genera suficientă energie pentru a alimenta peste 270.000 de case și va reduce emisiile de CO2 cu aproximativ 540.000 tone anual.
Construcția parcului este programată să dureze aproximativ 18 luni, cu punerea în funcțiune a primei faze până la sfârșitul anului 2025. Proiectul este finanțat de un consorțiu de 8 creditori, inclusiv Erste Group, UniCredit Group, Banca Europeană pentru Reconstrucție și Dezvoltare, și International Finance Corporation (IFC), cu o investiție de 291 milioane de euro.

Pavel Hadrbolec, CFO T-Mobile Cehia și Telekom Slovacia, a subliniat importanța acestui proiect pentru obiectivele de decarbonizare și diversificare a surselor de energie ale companiei.
Alastair Hammond, CEO Rezolv Energy, a evidențiat rolul semnificativ al proiectului în tranziția energetică a României, menționând că VPPA-urile transfrontaliere sunt un semnal important pentru comunitatea de afaceri din regiune.
