Parlamentul European votează în mod copleșitor pentru susținerea Strategiei Europene de Energie Geotermală
Într-un gest semnificativ, Plenul Parlamentului European a votat în favoarea unei rezoluții care să susțină o strategie europeană de energie geotermală. Strategia Europeană de Energie Geotermală: Un apel pentru dezvoltarea unei strategii cuprinzătoare pentru reducerea sarcinilor administrative și facilitarea investițiilor în clădiri, industrie și agricultură în întreaga Uniune.
Alianța Industrială Geotermală: Înființarea unei alianțe pentru accelerarea adoptării celor mai bune practici și implementarea eficientă a legislației în sectorul geotermal.
Schema de Mitigare a Riscurilor Financiare: Propunerea unei scheme armonizate de asigurare pentru a reduce riscurile financiare asociate proiectelor geotermale.
Strategii Naționale: Încurajarea statelor membre să elaboreze strategii naționale pentru energia geotermală, inspirate din modelele de succes din țări precum Franța, Germania, Polonia, Austria, Croația și Irlanda.
Sprijin pentru Regiunile în Tranziție: Accent special pe sprijinirea regiunilor aflate în tranziție și a regiunilor dependente de cărbune în tranziția către energia geotermală.
Philippe Dumas, Secretar General al Consiliului European pentru Energie Geotermală, a salutat susținerea hotărâtă a Parlamentului European, afirmând: „Comisia Europeană nu poate ignora o astfel de susținere puternică”. A exprimat recunoștință către Profesorul Krasnodębski și echipa sa pentru angajamentul lor de a face tranziția energetică accesibilă pentru toată lumea.
